Ken Milvid

As Director of Operations Ken is responsible for ensuring all business operations run effectively and efficiently to empower Principals and other staff to successfully serve clients. He is key to ThirtyNorth’s strategic direction in areas such as business development, process improvement, firm performance, procurement, human resources, and more. Ken’s day to day responsibilities involve maintaining technology systems, vetting and managing vendors, overseeing accurate and timely client billing, ensuring compliance standards are met, developing marketing materials and firm collateral, and financial reporting.

Past experience

Ken brings 30 years of operational experience from various industries. He has worked in large and small organizations and has a strong entrepreneurial background. Ken started his career as a Naval Officer serving as a Naval Aviator, including carrier battle group tours in the Mediterranean Sea and the Persian Gulf. After leaving the Navy he worked as a business strategy and IT implementation consultant, developed real estate, started a software company, and provided construction and facilities support services for the Federal Government as a small business owner.

Ken earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in general engineering from the United States Naval Academy. He volunteers as a board member for the Friends of the Fisher House of Southern Louisiana and in his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and four sons, exercising, restoring and maintaining classic cars, and racing automobiles.
